Puppetry is a complex art: it applies literature, acting, puppet preparation, scenography, music. Puppetry training in childhood can have an important role in the development and improvement of personality. Many adults look back to their puppetier childhood as the time when they lost their inhibition and when their personal creativity, self-assessement skills, artistic sensitivity were born. A time when a lot was learned and experienced about endurance, patience and acceptence.
In Nyergesújfalu (Hungary) the Pinocchio Children Puppet Group was founded in 1976, supported by the local public authority and directed by Lászlóné Sára until 2014, currently by Ildikó Komeiner. SÁRA-LABOR offers similar puppetry training for communes, schools, kindergartens or children of other communities. During the course we focus on the improvement of movement-, rythm and speach-skills. Development of puppet-manipulation, stage-presence and performing capacities are also part of the training while we continuesly work on creativity and social sensitivity.
